Melaleuca EcoSense Home Conversion Pack = Undecided

I purchased the EcoSense® Home Conversion Pack (Save 35%) because I love saving money on things I'm already going to purchase! This made sense because I want to go green for everything I use at home. I don't like the idea of chemicals sitting in the bathtub with my sweet boys because I didn't rinse it good enough after I cleaned it. Or even if I did rinse it good enough. Green is good!

 This pack includes the following~

Laundry
  • PreSpot™ 4x Laundry Stain Remover with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • MelaPower® 6x Laundry Detergent—Fresh Scent (96 loads)
  • MelaBrite® 6x Color-Safe Brightener (96 loads)
  • MelaSoft® Liquid Fabric Softener—Clean Cotton (48 loads)
  • MelaSoft® Dryer Sheets—Clean Cotton (100 Sheets)
  • Revive™ Wrinkle Relaxer with Sprayer
  • Laundry Pump
  • 2 EcoSense Drain Back Caps
Household Cleaners
  • Sol-U-Guard® Botanical 2x Disinfectant with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • Sol-U-Mel® Stain Remover (16 fl. oz.) with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • Tough & Tender® Wipes (30 wipes)
  • Tough & Tender® All-Purpose Cleaner with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • MelaMagic® Heavy Duty Cleaner
  • Tub & Tile™ Bathroom Cleaner with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • No Work® Daily Shower Cleaner with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • Rustic Touch® Furniture Polish
  • Clear Power® Glass Cleaner with Mixing Spray Bottle
  • Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloths 2-pack
Dish Washing
  • Diamond Brite® Dishwasher Detergent
  • Lemon Brite® Hand Dish Liquid
  • EcoSense Brochure
ONE problem though, I have HE machines and needed to get the HE detergent. Normally it lets you select which option you want when adding it to your cart. So I called melaleuca to inquire about this, the representatives were very friendly, but they told me it could not be switched (that seems silly to me but alright). They said I could mail it back and trade it, no extra cost, for the HE detergent and they would automatically ship it with my next order. Okay, I thought, no big deal. Right?

I looked at my invoice and not only did I pay $5.90 to ship it back, but now they're charging me $5.78 for the HE detergent. Hmmmm, this isn't what I was told. I'll post an update to let you know if they fix this and how they respond.

ANYWAYS, this pack is pretty nice so far and I'll do individual reviews of each of the products. And I do like the 35% savings (atlas, mine right now is less than that because of the detergent but I digress). Stay posted....

Melaleuca Liquid Hand Soaps (Pump sold seperately) = LIKE

I bought two liquid hand soaps, the Moisturizing Liquid Soap—Grapefruit Splash (Pump sold separately) and the  Moisturizing Liquid Soap—Mountain Rain (Pump sold separately) and so far I like the every bit as much as my bath and body works moisturizing hand soaps. I would have been able to use the a MONTH early BUT I forgot to order the pump. As you can see it states "Pump sold separately." I started using them on on February 7th, 2012.

One still has 95% left and the other still has about 70% left (this one I use ALL the time, it's in the kitchen and it's my go to soap). They definitely last long than soft soap and they'll probably last longer than bath and body works (was my favorite soap)! I only used half a pump with bath and body works ;)

OH, and don't forget to order the pump!

Renew Hand Wash = Okay...

What can I say? It foams when it comes out. It feels alright on your hands as you wash them. I just prefer a moisturizing hand soap. It smells better than the renew lotion, so that's a plus! At $6.99 I won't buy this again! I haven't noticed it helping my skin as much as the lotion does. I'm just going to stick with my renew lotion. Good thing this was a freebie =)

Read more about it here.

Renew Lotion = LOVE

Renew Lotion you can find here it is pretty amazing! We live where it is D-R-Y. And I have three boys and do all my cooking at home. I wash my hands ALL the time. My hands get so dry and cracked from all the washing and then they bleed. I have tried many MANY lotions and only the expensive ones have worked. This is the best lotion I have tried yet and it is less expensive then the ones I was purchasing at my local stores. It doesn't feel too oily and it helps my hands heal! They hurt so bad in the winter and look bad in the winter. This lotion is a life saver. It is why I joined Melaleuca in the first place. I would recommend buying this pack as it is the best value for the money Renew™ Intensive Skin Therapy—Value Size 2-pack

The only thing I don't like about this lotion is the smell. You'd think it could smell a little nicer? Oh well!

FiberWise cereal = LIKE and not so like...

So today I'm going to share with you two cereals offered through Melaleuca. The first is FiberWise™ Cereal —Strawberry Crunch   coming in at 170 calories for every 1 cup serving (42.5 calories every 1/4 cup). The second is FiberWise™ Cereal —Cinnamon Clusters  coming in at 210 calories for every 1 1/4 cup serving (42 calories every 1/4 cup). Each are $5.79 a box.
Take a look at the pictures.

Now by looking at the pictures, which do you think tastes better? The strawberry right?

I was SOOO excited about the strawberry crunch cereal and I couldn't wait to try it. And it was SO....

Bland.

What a big disappointment! I will never buy it again. Now the cinnamon clusters was pretty good! I enjoyed every bowl. I don't know if I'd buy it for $5.79 a box but I had a coupon for $4 off two boxes. Making them $3.79 each. At this price I would purchase cinnamon clusters again....maybe. And guess what? I can return the strawberry crunch and get my money back! Empty box too. That's pretty cool, right?

Exfoliating Body Bar = LOVE!

So I'm going to try to keep my posts coming frequently! I've been a slacker because my Grandmother passed away =( She will be missed.
On to our first order of business, I LOVE the  Exfoliating Body Bar, it is amazing! I started using it in my shower on January 11, 2012. My husband showers twice a day (yes he's one of those delicious men who get dirty at there job =D) and I use it one a day. Not only on my face, but on my arms. Why my arms? Because I like to shave my arms! I still use my shaving cream on my legs though... anyways...
Why did I share all of this? So you can see how much we use it and give yourself an estimate of how long it would last you.

It smells great and makes you feel great too! Like a luxury spa... hmmmm. And it's perfect if the man in your life that doesn't want to smell like a girl. Nice almond-vanilla scent. I would recommend this product and I would definitely take this over the normal bars of soap at the store! Worth the extra cost (maybe not much more since it's french milled?)! I will update this blog with an expiration date when my exfoliating Body Bar is no longer with us...

P.S. I'm working on several post that I will post over the next few days =)

Melaleuca...Should you believe or leave?? Let's find out together =)

Yes, I made the plunge. I became a Melaleuca Preferred Customer.

A what? A Melaleuca Preferred Customer. "What's that?"

Definition of being a Preferred Customer here ~ http://www.melaleuca.com/HelpCenter/Content.aspx?Page=Preferred_Customer_Benefits

Why'd you do that? Well, the products DO seem pretty amazing and pretty good prices too!

So the point? I'm going to go through and review all of their products as I get them each month. I'll post pictures, maybe some videos and in the end we'll come to a conclusion of whether or not Melaleuca is worth it. This blog is going to be EVERYTHING Melaleuca. I'll figure out the best prices the most points per $$ spent and so on. Let's either believe in or leave Melaleuca together. You in?
